Photos
I was able to go through the photos and just delete most of the bad ones (which were many because I am not a skilled photography - ie - any good photos are purely the result of my camera and/or Kim who used my camera).

Afternoon Pageant Results
Congratulations to everyone that came out and
competed! The competition this year was about as tough as I have ever
seen it. I wish I could give advice and say that there is a formula for
this pageant, but with judging being one minute, it is really up to the judges
to make a decision with very little time. Everyone did a terrific job and
if you did not win this year, use my motto, try and try again (goodness knows I
have done it myself in pageantry!).
The Results:
Teen:
Contestants: Cecilie Geraghty, Isabella
Sponaugle
2nd Runner Up: Elizabeth Carter
1st Runner Up: Alyssa Rivera
Winner: Jenny Scarborough
Miss
1st Runner Up: Melissa Shifflett
Winner: Kara Otto
Ms:
Contestants: Patricia Darcy, Natalie McGee, Jessica Combs
2nd Runner Up: Megan Street
1st Runner Up: Mallory Mest
Winner: Emily Todd
Mrs.
Contestants: Krystal Long, Lindsay Branson, Anita Spangler
3rd Runner Up: Suzanne Farris
2nd Runner Up: Amy Townsend
1st Runner Up: Tiffany Abbondanza
Winner: Renee Fagan
I went through my camera and finally put all the photos on my computer, but I have a long way to go before posting any. Sorry, but it will be another week before I can post. Work is busy this week.

Always remember, different day, different judges! Results were close and could have easily changed with a different opinion. This is a yearly event that is truly meant to be light hearted and fun.
I will be posting photos very soon!!!!
Quick side note: several of the morning pageant contestants came for the afternoon pageant to support their relatives/friends/moms. Those children that came back, wearing their crowns and sashes (made me so proud!!!) helped with the crowning of all the afternoon contestants. You parents / guardians raised some AWESOME kids! Those children that helped out were kind, considerate and very respectful!!!! Any time any of you need a babysitter, call me. I would love to hang out with your kids - they were terrific!

One quick final reminder
I am getting several emails wherein people are assuming that signing up online registers them for the pageant. Due to the fact that we have limited space, you must sign up online and pay the entry fee to be registered for the pageant. At this point in time, we have 30 registered contestants for the morning pageant. If you did not receive an email from me for the morning pageant (Mini, Tiny, Little, Young, and Junior Divisions) stating that I received your information and payment, then you are not registered for the pageant.
For the afternoon pageant, a few spots opened up, but those spots are filled by people that communicated directly with me via email. The afternoon pageant is now closed.
If you are unsure, just email me at punkinchunkinpageant@gmail.com
Next year, I will work to learn to do an online form wherein you fill out the form and immediately click paypal (it will be more seamless for people).
SEE YOU AT THE CHUNK ON SUNDAY!
Time for me to print the pageant scripts!!!!

Pagean is on Sunday; not Saturday; and a great question
First, several people have asked if the pageant is on Saturday - it is not. It is on Sunday. The paperwork and the Chunk website all have the pageant scheduled for Sunday. Trust me, I double checked because at this point, I thought that I wrote down the wrong dates! ;-)
A great question: where is the microphone???
So, here is a decision to help you prepare your little ones: one of our two emcees will hand the microphone to each contestant. The contestant will hand back the microphone at the conclusion of the speech. Frank and Ellie are the emcees this year; they are both very experienced, so they will help guide the children.
Quick note: remember that our four year old division is a bit different. We are allowing a chaperone at the discretion of parent(s)/guardian(s) to assist each contestant in their speech and during the beauty walk.
